South Hills Parking Structure

This project consisted of a seven-level, 2,200-space open parking structure. Work included site improvements, a passenger drop-off area, a covered pedestrian walkway and renovations to a light rail station. Renovations included modifications to existing canopies and replacement of stairs and ramps that access platforms. The parking garage was built on 202 caissons and supported at one end by an 18-pile soldier pile wall. Above the cast-in-place foundation, the superstructure is precast concrete with cast-in-place topping slabs over precast double-tee decking.
